This is my latest rasterbation. XKCD Comic Still Raw. A few hints if you want to make your own.

  1. Blutack. Don’t bother with stick tape, pins or anything else, go straight to blutack. It’s the best.
  2. Take the time to cut the borders off. It makes for a much nicer finish.
  3. Take your time, and have fun. Also watch out for non square corners. Mines a little bit all over the place due to that.
  4. Download the off-line rasterbator, and experiment with the dot size.
  5. Turn borders off, and enable multicolor (even if you are printing it gray scale.
    Bigger is better.

Robot Chicken

I have (legally or illegally) obtained three whole seasons of Robot Chicken, and while I have enjoyed some of the short clips, I have never had the time or the resources to watch full episodes. Well that’s turned around and I have ended up watching both season one and two within two days, and I am part way through the third season.

I love the some what messed up story lines and clips, and there have only been a few I don’t understand (mainly because of the lack of TV I watch). If you ever get a chance to watch Robot Chicken, you should.

I would love to set my wallpaper as Robot Chicken, but it’s a little stuck. I havn’t actually gotten around to fixing it, I should reboot or log off and back on again, but I really can’t be bothered. Due to a kernel panic, my MacBook has a higher uptime (11 days) than my server :<.

Bacon Today

I found a wonderful website (I think I found it from twitter) which really touches on issues in the world around us. The site deeply digests the most important news, and reports back to us on the results.

Bacon Today beats the shit out of any morning show, news website or web comic, with it’s delicious news on what we live on. with regular polls and articles, there is no possible way this site could become boring or useless in 20 years.

Future Space – The Line

Ok, this really fucked me up, and is the reason why I haven’t blogged this for two days. I wanted to share a youtube video, but typically I post from flickr. See my problem. Anyway what I wanted to share with yous is a comedy I found on youtube, that kicks nerds in the guts and points and laughs at them. It’s based around a group of nerds lining up for the next episode of “Future Space” and is really cleverly crafted.

Comic Mash Up

Thought I’d have a go at making a comic / art feature. I thought I would mash up a few pictures and famous people, mix a few things together and see what happens. I suck at being creative but here it goes.

Ps, For the people that don’t know the other guy is Linus Torvalds, he’s jesus of the Linux wonderland. FreeBSD will rule.

Spud Gun

Being messing around with some friends with a spud gun, we’re still working on improving the design and getting it to fire higher / faster, but our basic design works decently. Our 90mm design is simply a 1m 90mm pipe that has a whole drilled in the center for a BBQ sparker and a screw on lid on one end.

Our next design will have a proper combustion camber, smaller barrel, using pressure rated pipe, a gas injection system (the screw on lid gets slowly melted making it hard to get on and off. Other idea’s will include using a camera flash electronics to fire the sparks. The caps on those are awesome.

BTW, this is illegal, and I would never fire one of these off, unless I was off shore or had the correct permits. Blah Blah Blah. Insert legal disclaimer here.

CSI – Unmissable

I saw an advert on Win TV (Channel 9), claiming that an episode for CSI was “Unmissable”. To me, unmissable sounds like, it’s impossible to miss it. If this definition is correct, does that mean I can file false advertising claims on Win TV, as I did end up missing that episode?
