The picture to the left shows what can happen when you get bored. 6 by 4 A4 pages. Photoshop to scale up the ascii and make a PNG and PosteRazor to print it over the multiple pages.
All in all, a good job IMOH.

Album Art
Collage of the album you can find in my iTunes Library. I made this with the help of a few programs and scripts. First off, getting the album art out of iTunes I used a script from Doug (for mac only I guess). I then pumped it into a nice use once chuck away app, Shape Collage. Upload to flickr, and rinse and repeat.
BTW with the help of zzap I bought flickr pro. Mainly because I’m using flickr for all my blog posts.
Sunset
I just took this photo from our deck. It’s been raining for the last day and bit which has made it all cold, but I suppose I can forgive it, considering our beautiful of a sunset it was. I hate when you take photos of sunsets, how they never come out as nice as it looks. This one came out pretty damn close, so I’m fairly happy with it. I’m not sure if I should start using the wide shot mode on my camera or not, considering it’s the same lens and that, I gather it just cuts the top and bottom off the photo, it’d make it easier for making wallpapers though.
I also created a panorama shot of the sunset (view) using Calico. I tried using photoshop but it took my CPU and RAM, and left me with a garbled picture. It still hasn’t returned either. Calico is pretty nice software and is simple to use. I like it.
Onto other news, I’ve started using Plurk, for a bit to see what it is, how it works, and that. So far i’ve enjoyed it, and it is a step up from twitter, although it’s lacking features such as IM, free sms and API. I’m thinking of setting up a bot to relay messages between plurk and twitter just for me, so I can get the sms. Since it’s the holidays I might. My account should be linked in the side bar to your right sometime soon.
New icon
IS IT A BIRD, IS IT A PLANE, NO IT’S A NEW ICON.
Decided to quickly update the icon so it looks a bit more appealing, instead of the standard blogger icon. Also Firefox 3 is looking good, hopefully by Firefox 4 they’ll have decent OS X Keychain support.
Or maybe Opera will beat them. The race is on Firefox and Opera.
Flickr
I’ve decided to start making all of my posts from flickr, with a flickr picture that suits the article, just to make things look nicer. Hopefully most of the photos will be taken by me, however there will be some from other flickr users, friends or what not.
Flickr is my choice in photo sharing on the net. Mainly because it’s free and easy to use. It has a really good API and people are always mashing up new sites to use flickr differently. I did prefer flickr when you didn’t require a Yahoo ID to sign in (mainly because all the good yahoo ids are taken :<) but I suppose yahoo has to do this to survive.
Flickr doesn't have many ads and pages look clean and nice, from what I've heard flickr survives on the use of the Pro membership profit .
Pro allows you to upload more photos to your web album and comes with other nice features. I don't use flickr nearly enough to need to worry about becoming a pro member luckily.
iDrive
yum9me later this week talked about backing up data and online storage solutions. After my hard drive wipe, I thought I’d try something a little differnt. I got a free account at iDrive, whic offers 2GB upload for free, which is plenty for me to upload my school work. The user interface is really nice and the upload speed is amazingly fast. It also does incremental backups to save time and bandwidth. The scheduler feature works excellently and even sends me an email once a backup is done.
The only thing I do hate is the fact that you can’t change the colour of the little menu bar icon. Which is really annoying because I had a nice forest/tree theme going on. If you’re going to have something so out there, please allow people to change it, if not stay with the standard black icons. Speaking of which, here is my solution.
In finder goto /Applications/IDriveforMac/IDriveMonitor.app/Contents/Resources using the goto folder function in the go menu. Open up IDriveMenuIcon.tiff in your favorite image editor and change the colour or what not.
New shoes
My mum bought me some nice new shoes. I always find that when I get new shoes, they never feel like the fit until a week after using them, but these shoes fit so nicely and don’t have that feeling. They are Colorado Tangles and I’m really liking them. More pictures in flickr.

Wallpaper and icons
Today I decided to pimp my desktop a bit with some custom photoshoping and pictures. I took this photo while on holidays a few months back, and I created a nice outline of it in photoshop, I think I looks nice on my wallpaper, feel free to use.
